The basis of this project was to organize information and create typographic and visual hierarchy on a 20" x 30" poster for the Golden Gate Park Events Schedule. The typefaces used on the poster are Franklin Gothic (sans serif) for the title, sub headings, and body text and Meta Serif Pro (serif) for the headings. The goal was to create visual hierarchy by grouping the information and differentiating them by contrast in size, color, form, and weight. Grid guidelines were used for proper alignments and balance within the composition.

These are sketches of organizing sets of information by event location and grouping them by the different dates of the events. The most important set of information were the event names and location. The least important information such as the event details are in smaller font size.

To give the event poster a sense of identity, the color palette resembles Bay Area culture by choosing the team colors of the Golden State Warriors basketball team. The color palette chosen for the text are complementary colors orange / gold and blue along with their tints and shades. The graphic design and background has a monochromatic blue palette.
